Gua Sha is intentionally create transitory therapeutic petechiae called ‘sha’ representing extravasation of blood in the subcutis, to produce an anti-inflammatory and immune protective effect.

Moxibustion

Moxibustion is a “warming” technique using the herb mugwort in Chinese Medicine.  Moxibustion helps to increase blood circulation, tonify energy and stimulate digestive system function as well as boost the immune system.

Cupping involves placing cups on the skin to create suction. It increases blood circulation to the area where the cups are placed. This may relieve muscle tension, which can improve overall blood flow and promote cell repair.
